Gururaj is a Bangalore's based kuchipudi Artist. He is trained under the guidance of Smt. VyjayanthiKashi, SNA Awardee, celebrity dancer and guru.

He is a part of the Shambhavi Dance Ensemble playing important roles, touring the country and abroad (Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa and Mauritius) for many national and international prestigious dance festivals, performing in group productions choreographed by his Guru VyjayanthiKashi. He has done many solo performances in India and has received acclaim by art lovers and audience

He is a graded artist of Doordharshan Kendra. He is a recipient of "NalandathyaNipuna 2010" an award instituted by the Nalanda Dance Research Centre, 5th Naveen Kalakar - 2011 on the senior's category receiving the title "NruthyaJyothi"and Recipient of "Naatya Kumara 2012" an award from NMDA, Vizag.

He is a Performer, Teacher, Assistant Choreographer and as Manager in Shambhavi School of Dance headed by Smt. VyjayanthiKashi.
